learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt. Deepthi Alva, learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1, Sri E. Venkatarami, learned counsel for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 3. During the pendency of these proceedings, it transpires that the parties to the lis have entered into a

settlement and have placed on record such settlement along with the joint affidavit. Terms of settlement reads as follows:
"JOINT AFFIDAVIT
." 1. Mr. Ramachandra Reddy T. S/o Mr. T Balarama Reddy. Aged about 63 years, Residing at flat No.5B. Nalanda Apartments, 2, 5th Street, Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore Post, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600004. presently campaigning at Bangalore, do hereby swear on solemn affirmation as follows:

I, Mr. K. Muniraj, S/o Mr. M. Krishnappa, Aged about 52 years, Residing at No. 4121/P1, Beside Big Picture old, Airport Road, Kodihalli, Bangalore 560008 do hereby swear on solemn affirmation as follows:
1. That the Petitioner has filed this present criminal petition seeking quashing of entire proceedings in Crime No.0066/2026 pending adjudication before the 41st ACJM Court, Bangalore City, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 336(2), 340(2), 336(3) of the Bharathiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 registered by the 1st Respondent Police Station in connection with FIR bearing crime No.0066/2026. 2. That at the intervention of our well wishers, elders and friends, amicable settlement to put quietus to the above case. 3. That the 20t Respondent/Complainant is hereby withdrawing all the allegations made in the complaint dated 10.02.2026 against the without petitioner herein without any undue influence, misrepresentation and coercion. 4. That in view of the settlement arrived at during the pendency of the this case, the 2nd Respondent has no objections for this Hon'ble Court to quash the proceedings

We state that all the above stated averments contained in this affidavit are all true and correct to the best of our knowledge information and belief and nothing is concealed therefrom. Wherefore in view of the compromise entered into between us, this joint affidavit may be placed on record and this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash the entire proceedings Crime No.0066/2026, pending adjudication before the 41 ACJM Court, Bangalore City, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 336(2), 340(2), Bharathiya Nyaya Sanhita. 2023, registered by the 1st Respondent Police Station in connection with FIR bearing crime no. 0066/2026 on the basis of the complaint dated 10.02.2026 filed by the 2nd Respondent/Complainant, herein in the interest of justice and equity."

In the light of application for compounding being filed along with the joint affidavit and offences not being against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the compounding application and terminate the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition. 5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:

(i) Criminal Petition stands disposed. (ii) Impugned investigation in
Crime No.0066/2026 registered by the Bellandur Police Station, on the file of the XLI Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru City, against the petitioner stands quashed.
