BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR SHARMA ORDER 13.02.2026 Heard Mr. D. Chuitia, learned counsel for the applicants. Also heard Mr. R.C. Paul, learned counsel for the respondent. It appears that the Opposite Party No. 1/respondent No. 1 has deposited 50% of the awarded amount in the Registry of this Court in connection with MAC Appeal No. 434/2019, which amounts to Rs. 5,93,400/-. This Court by order dated 23.04.2025 directed the Registry to disburse the aforesaid deposited amount to the claimant. However, the Registry has paid only an amount of Rs. 1,43,000/- to the applicant despite submission of an indemnity bond of Rs. 5,93,400/- which is equal to the amount deposited by the applicants. The reason for payment of Rs. 1,43,000/- to the applicants by the Registry is not discernable at this stage when the direction of this Court vide Order dated 23.04.2025 was to disburse the entire deposited amount i.e. Rs.
5,93,400/- The Registrar General of Gauhati High Court is directed to make an inquiry in this regard and disburse the remaining amount to the applicants of the
