THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, PRAYING TO QUASH THE ORDER DATED 02.01.2020 IN EXECUTION PETITION NO.14/2017

CONCILIATION ORDER
The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner - Insurance Company is present. The learned Counsel appearing for the Respondents – Claimants along with its representative are present. 2. After prolonged negotiations, the matter is settled. A joint memo signed by the learned advocate appearing for the respondent/claimants and the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner-Insurance Company and its authorized officer is filed. The respondents-claimants have agreed to receive and the petitioner-Insurance Company has agreed to pay a lump-sum of Rs.6,15,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs Fifteen Thousand only), towards full and final settlement of the claim.
On such deposit, respondent No.1/the wife of the deceased is permitted to withdraw the entire amount along with interest accrued on the same. 4
3. The petitioner - Insurance Company has agreed to deposit the said amount before the Tribunal within six weeks from the date of preparation of award, failing which, the said amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% P.A. from the date of default, till the date of deposit. 4. The apportionment, deposit and release of the compensation amount shall be made in terms of the Judgment and Award passed by the Claims Tribunal. 5. The writ petition stands disposed of in terms of the Joint memo. The Judgment and Award of the Tribunal shall stand modified accordingly. Draw up the Award accordingly. Sd/- JUDGE

The Writ Petition filed against the order made in Execution Petition 14/2017, on the File of the MACT, BENGALURU, has been referred to this Lok Adalat by the Hon'ble High Court U/S.20 of the Legal Services Authorities Act.1987. The parties to the above Writ Petition have settled their claim before the Lok Adalat on the following terms:
The Petitioner / UNITED INDIA INSURANCE CO. LTD., has agreed to pay a lump-sum of Rs.6,15,000/-(Rupees Six Lakh Fifteen Thousand Only) towards full and final settlement of the their claim made in the Execution Petition. The Petitioner – UNITED INDIA INSURANCE CO. LTD., has agreed to deposit the said amount, before the Tribunal, within six weeks from the date of preparation of award failing which the said amount shall carry interest at 9% p.a. from the date of default, till the date of deposit. The parties are not entitled for any cost.
The parties to this appeal have set their hands to this settlement before the Lok Adalat in the presence of Conciliators on this 11.07.2026 at Bengaluru Bench
