Mr. Swapan Kumar Pal Mr. Soham Pal Ms. Suparna Paul …for the petitioner 1. The petitioner seeks family pension on account of his disablement. His father was a teacher who expired on August 21, 2001. The widow of the deceased teacher received family pension and she also passed away on December 7, 2022. 2. The petitioner claims to be disabled and submits that he would be entitled to the family pension. A legal representation on behalf of the petitioner is pending consideration before the concerned authority. 3. None represents the respondents. Affidavit of service is taken on record. 4. As the issue in question is pending consideration before the respondents, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. 5. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Purba Medinipur to take a decision on the legal representation filed on behalf of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. A reasoned decision shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. 7. If the petitioner is found entitled to the relief as sought, necessary consequential steps shall be taken without any further delay. 8. Learned counsel for the petitioner shall forward a copy of the subject representation to the said respondent along with all other supporting documents at the time of communicating this order. 9. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. 10.
