The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia praying that a direction be issued to the respondents to extend the period of quarrying lease bearing No. 579 for a period of 50 years from the date of original grant, i.e., from 21.03.2003 to 20.03.2053 in terms of Rule 8-A(2) of the Karnataka Minor Mineral Concession Rules, - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010271182026 NC: 2026:KHC:44094-DB WP No. 12354 of 2026 1994 as amended by the Karnataka Minor Mineral Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2023. 3. The petitioner states that it had made a representation dated 03.07.2025 seeking the said extension, but has not received any response to the said application. 4. The learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner’s representation has been rejected by an endorsement dated 19.07.2025. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the same has not been communicated to the petitioner. However, he reserves the liberty to challenge the same. 5. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. This order would not preclude the petitioner from availing its remedies in respect of the endorsement dated 19.07.2025, the copy of which has been now handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
