Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that by filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks for a direction for payment of the balance amount of Rs.1,16,504/- by the respondent authorities concerned for completion of the work undertaken by the petitioner. Referring to the liability statement at Annexure-1 to the writ petition, the learned counsel submits that the total bill value was for Rs.2,89,824/- and out of which, an amount of Rs.1,73,320/- had already been paid and leaving a balance of Rs.1,16,504/-. Learned counsel submits that since the same is an admitted liability, respondents may be directed to pay the same within a time frame. 2. Ms. A. Gayan, learned CGC appears for respondent Nos. 1 & 2 and submits that the amount will have to be paid by the Water Resources Department, if at all there is any such liability. Page No.# 3/3 3. Ms. P. Seyie, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 3 to 5 submits that she may be given some time to obtain instructions from the Water Resources Department to see as to whether any such pending liability. However, considering the fact that the liability statement has been prepared by the Department themselves through their officials, this Court finds no impediment to dispose of this writ petition at this stage itself. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to verify the claim made by the petitioner as set out in Annexure-1 of the writ petition. On such verification, if it is found that the balance amount of money which is projected in the statement is correct, the same shall be paid to the petitioner without delay. 4. The entire exercise be completed within a period of two months from the date or receipt of a certified copy of this order. Petitioner shall furnish the respondent No.4 a copy of the writ petition along with a certified copy of this order for the needful. 5.
