ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAYANT BANERJI) The instant Civil Contempt Case has been filed alleging non-implementation of the order dated 20.02.2026 in Writ petition No.29579/2025 passed by the Division Bench of this Court. By the impugned judgment dated 20.02.2026, the writ petition No.29579/2025 as well as several other petitions were allowed and the final transfer eligibility list dated 23.07.2025 and the final revised eligibility list dated 24.07.2025, insofar as the petitioners in the writ petitions are concerned, were quashed with liberty to the State to transfer the petitioners in accordance with law, in terms of Rules of 2025 on their completion of minimum tenure as prescribed under the Rules of 2025, in the posts held by them.
2. A reply affidavit has been filed by the accused, enclosing therewith as Annexure R3, an
order dated 14.07.2026 passed by the Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil), Diary No. 36704/2026, whereby the Supreme Court has directed an interim stay of the operation of the aforesaid
judgment dated 20.02.2026 in Writ Petition

No.29579/2025 and several other petitions. It is stated by the
learned counsel that therefore, at present, there is no cause to continue with the instant contempt case.
3. Under the circumstances, in view of the order of the Supreme Court, the contempt case is dismissed leaving it open to the complainant to revive the contempt case, in case the outcome of the case before the Supreme Court enures in her favour.
