Heard Mr. Ali, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Mr. Mitra, learned Advocate General appearing for the State submits, upon instruction, that the said Act of 2026 is yet to receive the President’s assent. In view thereof, in our opinion, the present Public Interest Litigation is a premature one and is, accordingly, dismissed. Needless to observe, once the said Act receives the President’s assent, the petitioner may approach this Court, if so advised and in accordance with law. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
