Mr. Subhendu Bandyopadhyay. … for the Bank. 1. The petitioner is aggrieved that her prayer for receipt of family pension on the death of her husband in October 2020 has not yet been considered. 2. However, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that after filing of the writ petition, the petitioner has been intimated that certain further documents are required to be submitted to enable them to process the application for family pension made by the petitioner. In fact, she also submits that such documents have been duly submitted by her with the respondent no. 3. 3. Mr. Dey, learned Advocate appearing for the Union of India, submits that such documents have been received and are in the process for being considered. 4. In view of such, the respondent no. 3 will consider the application of the petitioner for family pension upon 2 consideration of all documents as submitted by her and if the documents are not available, such documents will be resubmitted by the petitioner by August 31, 2026. 5. The resultant order of such consideration will be communicated to the petitioner by September 15, 2026. If found eligible, the petitioner’s entitlements will be disbursed on and from October 1, 2026. 6. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 7. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
