1. The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the respondents in providing adequate police assistance to the petitioners for taking possession of the secured asset in terms of the order dated September 24, 2025 passed by the District Magistrate, North 24- Parganas.
2. Mr. Pramanick, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners bank submits that the bank had applied before the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas for police assistance under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act,
2002. Such application was disposed of by an order dated September 24, 2025. It is submitted that in terms of the said order, the petitioner bank has already deposited the requisite costs for police assistance on November 13, 2025. It is submitted that despite costs having been paid, the respondent police authorities are not providing police assistance to the petitioner.

3. The said respondents are represented.
4. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered and material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 3 and 4 to provide adequate police assistance to the petitioner bank for the purpose of taking possession of the secured asset in terms of the order dated September 24, 2025 passed by the District Magistrate, North 24- Parganas upon prior notice to the bank as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date.
5. Accordingly, WPA 19184 of 2026 stands disposed of. No Costs.
