The respondent is present before the Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the respective parties have filed an application under Section 147 of N.I. Act stating that the parties have settled the matter for a sum of Rs.7,50,000/-. In view of the settlement, today, the petitioner has tendered the Demand Draft for an amount of Rs.3,90,000/- in favour of the respondent/complainant before the Court and the respondent also acknowledged the same. It is further submitted that the balance of Rs.3,60,000/- is already in deposit before the Trial Court and the petitioner has no objection to withdraw the said amount by the respondent.
3. In view of the settlement arrived between the parties, the petition is disposed of and the petitioner is

acquitted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of N.I. Act.
4. The respondent is permitted to withdraw the amount in deposit before the Trial Court on production of proper identification.
5. The petitioner is directed to pay the fine amount of Rs.10,000/- as ordered by the Trial Court within two weeks from today and produce the receipt for having paid the said fine amount before the registry within a week thereafter.
6. If petitioner fails to deposit the said fine amount, list the matter before the Court on 20.08.2026.
