MS. KUMARI NILMONI MEJHAN VS UNION OF INDIA AND ORS.
Mr. Abhijit Mondal, Advocate Ms. Puja Goswami, Advocate ……for the Petitioner
1. Affidavit of service as filed has been taken on record.
2. In spite of service, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent authorities.
3. The petitioner is the daughter of a deceased employee of the respondent no. 2, who died sometime in 2006. The petitioner has made repeated applications which have been ignored over a period of time from 2006 onwards.
4. As has been fairly submitted by Mr. Mondal, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, there was an imposter posing as the mother of the petitioner for compassionate appointment. Interestingly, the mother of the petitioner had predeceased the father.
5. The first application of the petitioner had been made sometime in 2007 and the last in September
2024. An Advocate's representation has also been made on 11.06.2026.
6. The repeated requests by the petitioner to consider her case for compassionate appointment has been overlooked and glossed over by the authorities without assigning any reason.
