Ms. Deboleena Ghosh, Adv. …for the State. 1. On hearing the learned Advocate representing the petitioner it appears that petitioner is a retired employee of West Bengal Transport Corporation Ltd. He filed first writ petition being WPO 810 of 2025 seeking release of provident fund. Said writ petition is appearing in today’s daily cause list and is heard in presence of the learned Advocate representing the parties to that writ petition. In the present writ petition being WPO 33 of 2026 petitioner has claimed switching 2 over from Contributory Provident Fund Scheme to General Provident Fund cum Pension Scheme and release of pensionary benefits. 2. Issue involved in both the aforesaid writ petitions relates to release of retiral dues. Therefore, on posing query to the learned Advocate representing the petitioner as to why two separate writ petitions are filed, one for release of provident fund and another for release of pension, submission is made to grant leave to withdraw the writ petition. 3. West Bengal Transport Corporation Ltd. is represented by learned Advocate. 4. In view of the leave as prayed on behalf of the petitioner writ petition being WPO 33 of 2026 stands dismissed as not pressed. 5. However, leave is granted to the learned Advocate representing the petitioner to take necessary steps in the writ petition being WPO 810 of 2025 agitating his further grievance.
