Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing petitioner and State respondents. 2. It is contended on behalf of petitioner that CCTV footage of Andal Police Station for a particular period could not be provided before the jurisdictional Magistrate necessitating direction upon the concerned police authorities to provide CCTV footage by issuance of mandamus. 3. It is submitted that such production of CCTV footage before the jurisdictional Magistrate is necessary in connection with Andal Police Station Case No. 99 of 2026 dated 4th April, 2026. 2 4. Mr. Sahasrangshu Bhattacharjee, learned Additional Government Pleader representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 27th July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Andal Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner. 5. It is disclosed in the communication Court below called for CCTV footage of Andal Police Station from 8th April, 2026 to 9th April, 2026 which could not be provided. This is also cause of action so far present writ petition is concerned seeking direction upon the concerned police authorities to produce CCTV footage. Since CCTV footage was called for by the Court below, petitioner needs to approach jurisdictional Magistrate if CCTV footage could not be provided. 6. Writ petition is disposed of. 7.
