Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for the passport and the passport authorities have given a notice of appointment for issuance of passport on August 11, 2026. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list, it is not possible for the petitioner to produce the documents before the passport authorities and if the petitioner will not produce the documents before the passport authorities, the passport authorities will close the application of the petitioner on August 11, 2026. He submits that the petitioner has already preferred an appeal before the SIR Tribunal and the same is pending. He prays for a direction upon the Appellate Tribunal for disposal of the appeal as early as possible and till the disposal of the appeal by the Appellate Authority, the passport authority may be directed not to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of passport. 2 2. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Appellate Tribunal is requested to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner as early as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 3. The passport authorities are directed not to close the application filed by the petitioner for grant of passport till the decision taken by the Appellate Authority. 4. Accordingly, WPA 16955 of 2026 stands disposed of. 5. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Krishna Rao, J.)
