The complainants have filed the present complaint alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 13.10.2023 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in MFA No.6678/2023 (CPC) - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010727082025 NC: 2026:KHC:40591-DB CCC No. 1439 of 2025 and the order dated 16.10.2024 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in W.P.No.11379/2024(LA-KIADB). 2. The learned Single Judge had directed the Special Land Acquisition Officer (accused) to deposit the compensation amount in a fixed deposit in any nationalized bank, and the trial Court was also directed to dispose of the application filed under Order VII Rules 1 and 2 of CPC. 3. The accused has filed an affidavit stating that a cheque dated 21.07.2026 for `1,69,21,532/- (One Crore Sixty Nine Lakhs Twenty-one Thousand Five hundred and thirty-two only) bearing No.026645 drawn on Union Bank of India has been prepared and the same would be deposited before the concerned reference Court. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the complainants submits that the same is required to be deposited in any nationalized bank. In this view, we do not consider it apposite to initiate any proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. The complaint is, accordingly, closed. 6.
