1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.
2. Prayer is made in this writ petition for proper investigation of Joynagar Police Station Case No. 708 of 2026 dated 28th June, 2026 and transfer of investigation to Criminal Investigation Department (CID), West Bengal.
3. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 27th July, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Joynagar Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 27th July, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.
4. It is disclosed in the said communication that in course of investigation accused person was arrested and was enlarged on bail. Attempts were made to recover stolen articles from the accused person but stolen articles are yet to be recovered.

5. Concerned police authorities are directed to make endeavour to recover stolen articles by taking necessary steps.
6. In view of steps taken by the concerned police authorities prayer for transferring investigation to another agency is refused.
7. If petitioner is aggrieved by manner of investigation being carried out by concerned police authorities in connection with aforesaid criminal prosecution, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach jurisdictional magistrate under Section 175(3) BNSS, 2023.
8. Writ petition stands disposed of.
9. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
