JUSTICE E.S.INDIRESH ORAL ORDER In this writ petition, the petitioners are assailing the Endorsement dated 05.10.2023 (Annexure-D) issued by respondent No.4 inter-alia, sought a direction to the respondents for allotment of sites to the petitioners as per the scheme framed by the Department of Social Welfare. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties. 3. It is forthcoming from the writ petition that the petitioner had approached the respondent- authorities seeking allotment of land. Accordingly, the respondent-authorities issued the Endorsement at Annexure-D, stating that there is no surplus land available to be granted in favour of the petitioner, as the respondent-authorities have already reserved an - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010106082025 NC: 2026:KHC:42602 WP No. 5077 of 2025 extent of 10 to 11 acres of land for the requirements of the Social Welfare Department. It is further stated that three women’s hostels, teachers’ quarters, and pre-university colleges are functioning in the same vicinity and, therefore, the said land has been reserved to meet the requirements of the Social Welfare Department. 4. In view of the above, and considering the fact that the land in question is required by the respondent-Government for a public purpose, I am of the opinion that no interference is called for in this writ petition.
