Mr. Arkadipta Sengupta, Advocate Mr. Tirthankar Dey, Advocate Ms. Deboleena Ghosh, Advocate Ms. Ria Naskar, Advocate Ms. Ankita Ghosh, Advocate ……for the Petitioner Ms. Aparna Banerjee, Learned A.G.P. Mr. Brijendra Pratap Singh, Advocate Mr. Atanu Basu, Advocate ……for the State 1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that her application for appointment on compassionate ground as an Anganwari worker, upon the death of her mother sometime in 2019, has been rejected. 3. The rejection was primarily on twofold grounds; a) that the petitioner had applied at a rather belated stage and b) that the petitioner did not have the requisite qualifications. 4. The petitioner applied sometime in the year 2024 on the ground that upon the death of her mother sometime in 2019, she had gone into depression and was unable to apply and also on the logistical inability due to the COVID pandemic. 5. From the record, it appears that the petitioner has also enhanced her qualifications. 6. The respondent no. 2 is directed to consider the application of the petitioner afresh in light of the qualifications of the petitioner at present by 30.09.2026 and the resultant order be communicated to the petitioner within that time. P a g e | 2 7. The consideration of the petitioner's case will not create any equity or any rights in favor of the petitioner. 8. With these afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
