Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. A case is made out on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner apprehends resistance at the time of taking possession of the property in question thereby prompting petitioner to approach this Court with the present writ petition seeking direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps. 3. Prayer is made for issuance of mandamus directing the concerned police authorities to provide protection to petitioner which would facilitate petitioner to take possession of the property in question. 4. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 20th July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Tarakeswar Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 20th July, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner. 5. It is disclosed in the communication dated 20th July, 2026 that petitioner apprehends resistance by the occupants at the time of taking possession of the property. It is also disclosed that a Registered Deed was executed on 12th June, 2025 in favour of the petitioner thereby conferring right on the petitioner over the property in question. 6. If petitioner has right over the property in question she is entitled to take possession of the property. In the event, petitioner is prevented from taking possession by occupants, petitioner needs to approach appropriate forum in pursuit of remedy. 7. However, concerned police authority is directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale and to see no untoward incident takes place. 8. Writ petition stands disposed of. 9.
