The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondents no.3 and 4, namely the HDFC Bank and the Zerodha Broking Limited, respectively, to defreeze/remove the lien on the bank accounts of the petitioner with them. The action had been taken on instructions from the Cyber Crime Cell of the Union Territory.

Reply on behalf of respondent no.1/Chandigarh Administration dated 21.07.2026, has been filed which is taken on record. Referring to the same, it is contended that the complaint in question has been closed by the PAYAL 2026.07.24 09:40 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this

Police Station Cyber Crime, and the concerned Banks/entities have been asked to defreeze the petitioner’s account no.50100154470810 maintained with the HDFC Bank, and trading account no.FJ0745 maintained with the Zerodha Broking Limited, vide emails dated 20.07.2026, Annexure A-1.

In view thereof, the petition is rendered infructuous, and accordingly stands disposed of.
