The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to the respondents no.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents. 2. In furtherance to order dated 20.07.2026, status report by way of an affidavit of Gurlal Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Sadiq District Faridkot on behalf of respondent-State has been filed in Court today, which is taken on record. Further, report reveals that medical examination of the petitioners have also got conducted. 3. At this stage, Mr. Jimmy Singla, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent no.5 who happens to be the husband of petitioner no.1 and submits that petitioners has concealed the material facts that petitioner no.1 and 2 are closely relatives (petitioner no.1 is Mami of petitioner no.2). Learned counsel further submits that respondent no.5 has already filed a complaint whereby petitioners no.1 and 2 in connivance with DEEPAK PATWAL 2026.07.24 10:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-8593-2026 2 each other intoxicated the entire family and taken away a huge amount of cash and gold from the home and this petition is only to circumvent the legal process against them. 4 Heard learned counsel for the parties at length. 5. Considering the fact that there is no threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioners and respondent no.5 has already lodged a complaint which shall be looked into by the Authorities in accordance with law, therefore, no further orders are required to be passed at this stage. 6.
