It is the case of the petitioner that he joined the services of the fourth respondent as Secretary and retired from service, on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.05.2022. During the course of his employment, the petitioner was under suspension on 26.04.2014 for certain alleged irregularities committed by him and subsequently he was terminated from service on 07.01.2025. Challenging his termination order, the petitioner preferred a 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.11594 of 2026 revision under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act before the Joint Registrar of Co-operative, Salem and his claim was rejected by order dated 16.02.2015. Thereafter, the petitioner was before this Court with multiple writ petitions viz., W.P.No.11171 of 2015, W.P.No.26251 of 2022, W.P.No.26251 of 2024, and W.P.No.37363 of 2024 challenging the termination order, the order of the revisional authority as well as to settle his terminal benefits along with backwages and arrears of subsistence allowance during his suspension period etc., 3. Pursuant to the order of this Court in W.P.No.37363 of 2024, dated t09.01.2025, the second respondent vide his proceedings dated 09.09.2025, had directed the 4th respondent to settle the retirement benefits to the petitioner within a week’s time. Since no action has been taken by the 4th respondent, the petitioner had submitted a detailed representation to the first respondent on 03.01.2025. However, his representation dated 03.01.2025 also did not evoke any response. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner is to issue a direction to the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 03.01.2026 and to direct the 4th respondent to settle his terminal benefits with 6% interest, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first and fourth respondents respectively, to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass necessary orders with respect to the settlement of his terminal benefits along with admissible interest, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
