Judgment / Order 23/04/2026
1. The present writ petition has been filed assailing the order dated 15.04.2026, passed by learned Appellate Rent Tribunal, Jaipur Metropolitan I, in Case No. 112/2025, whereby the learned Appellate Rent Tribunal stayed the effect and operation of the
order passed by the learned Rent Tribunal.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at length, seeks only an innocuous prayer that the time period granted by
[2026:RJ-JP:17285] (2 of 2) [CW-7301/2026] the learned Appellate Rent Tribunal to deposit the rent be extended. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is ready and willing to deposit the arrears of rent amounting to Rs.2,52,000/- within a period of four weeks from today.
4.
Learned counsel further submits that the remaining arrears of rent in terms of the order dated 15.04.2026, shall be deposited by the petitioner within next four weeks thereafter.
5.
Learned counsel Mr. Sandeep Sharma appears on behalf of the respondents and has opposed the prayer as made by the
learned counsel for the petitioner.
6. Heard and perused the material available on record.
7. Keeping into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct that the petitioner shall deposit Rs.2,52,000/- within a period of four weeks from today and thereafter, the entire arrears of remaining rent in terms of the order dated 15.04.2026, within next four weeks. It is also
directed that future rent shall be paid in terms of the order dated 15.04.2026, on or before the 15th day of each succeeding month when it becomes due. If the above conditions are satisfied, than the eviction decree shall remain stayed till the disposal of the first appeal by the learned Appellate Rent Tribunal.
8. With the above observations, the present civil writ petition stands disposed of.
9. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
