Today, on behalf of State respondents communication dated 3rd August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Pukhuria Police Station, Malda is filed and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 3rd August, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner. 2. It is disclosed in the communication dated 3rd August, 2026 that in Pukhuria P.S. Case No. 452 of 2025 dated 12th September, 2025 on completing investigation charge sheet dated 22nd March, 2026 was filed before the Court below. Subsequently, supplementary charge sheet was filed dated 2nd July, 2026 after obtaining RFSL report. However, accused person is yet to be apprehended in spite of 2 efforts were made by the concerned investigating agency. Warrant of arrest was issued on 9th April, 2026. However, accused remains at large. 3. Police authorities are directed to take necessary steps for apprehending accused person. 4. Since charge sheet and supplementary charge sheet have already been filed prayer of the petitioner for transferring investigation to another agency stands refused. 5. Writ petition stands disposed of. 6. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law, if so advised. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
