Petitioner is serving as Station Incharge in Uttarakhand Transport Corporation at Kashipur, (Udham Singh Nagar) for the last about one year. Now he has been transferred to Ramnagar in District Nainital vide order dated 08.04.2026. Petitioner has challenged the transfer order in this writ petition. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one Vimla Devi was promoted as Station Incharge on 04.04.2026 and transferred from Rudrapur to Ramnagar and within 04 days of her joining at Ramnagar, she was re-transferred to Kashipur and in the process petitioner was disturbed. 4. It is further contended that petitioner’s wife suffers from various ailment, and his transfer at this stage would cause difficulty to the entire family of the petitioner. 5. Learned counsel for the Transport Corporation submits that distance between Ramnagar and Kashipur is only about 22 kms. 2026:UHC:2889 He further submits that transfer is an incident of service and petitioner’s transfer was made in public interest. He further submits that the allegation that petitioner was disturbed in order to accommodate Ms. Vimla Devi at Kashipur, is also not correct. He, however, submits that if petitioner makes representation regarding his transfer, then competent authority shall look into the matter and take appropriate decision, as per law. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation to the competent authority within one week. If he makes representation within the stipulated time, decision thereupon shall be taken as per law, within three weeks thereafter. 7. For a period of four weeks or till decision is taken in the matter, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards petitioner’s posting, shall be maintained.
