The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking directions to respondents to give benefit of Old Pension Scheme to the petitioner in terms of the notification dated 28.10.2005 (Annexure P7) and notification dated 08.05.2023 (Annexure P19). 2. Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that the claim of the petitioner has been considered and approved and that the requisite sanction has been accorded by the competent authority. He, thus, submits that nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition. 3. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner while not disputing the abovesaid factual position, submits that petitioner would be satisfied in case directions are issued to the office of Accountant General, OMKAR SINGH 2026.07.24 13:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document -2- CWP-8779-2026 Haryana to release the admissible benefits under the Old Pension Scheme expeditiously to the petitioner. 4. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents and the Account General, Haryana to process the case of the petitioner and release the admissible benefits to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 5. The Accountant General, Haryana is directed to scrupulously adhere to the aforesaid timeline. Any deviation would entitle the petitioner to approach this Court under Article 215 of the Constitution of India for initiating contempt of court proceedings. 6. Copy of the order be handed over to learned State counsel. 7. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of accordingly.
