Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for last more than 12 years and that during the pendency of the bail application the challan has proceeded to the final culmination and listed for final hearing, as such, she seeks not to press this petition. Her statement is taken on record. However, has made a submission that the Trial court may be directed to hear the matter and dispose it of at the earliest. 2. Given the fact that the petitioner is stated to an undertrial being in custody over 12 years, it is desirable for Trial court to dispose of his challan, being one covered in terms of the action plan drawn from time to time by the High Court and direction given for speedy disposal of such cases. 3. In that background, the Trial court shall proceed to hear the matter and decide it expeditiously. 4. Disposed of.
