Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. Page No.# 2/2 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioners 1. Jagroob Singh & 2. Surjeet Singh have prayed for releasing them on bail, after they were arrested in connection with Sidli P.S. Case 04/2026. 3. Both the petitioners are driver and helper of a truck. They were found transporting mineral materials on fake transit passes. 4. Mr. Sarma has submitted that the petitioners are residents of Punjab and if there are release on bail today, it would be difficult for the Investigating Agency to investigate the case. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 6. The petitioners have already spent 37 days in judicial custody. 7. Considering their length of detention, the Bail Application is allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that the petitioners, namely, 1. Jagroob Singh & 2. Surjeet Singh shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kajalgaon, Chirang. 9. The petitioner is directed to appear before the Investigating Officer as and when called for. 10. With the aforesaid direction, this Bail Application stands disposed of accordingly.
