THIS MISCELLANEOUS FIRST APPEAL COMING ON FOR CONCILIATION BEFORE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT, THE FOLLOWING CONCILIATION ORDER IS PASSED: CONCILIATION ORDER Learned Counsel for the appellant and the representative of the respondent – Insurance Company are present. 2. A joint memo is on record regarding the settlement between the claimant and the Insurance Company which reflects that the parties have settled for a lumpsum amount of Rs.1,60,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Sixty Thousand Only), in addition to what has been awarded by the Tribunal in full and final settlement of the claim. The respondent –Insurance Company has agreed to deposit the said amount before the Tribunal within six weeks from the date of preparation of the award, failing which, the said amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum from the date of default, till the date of deposit. 3 3. The memo is accepted and in view of the settlement, this appeal is disposed of. It is directed that the award be prepared no later than two months from today. The amount awarded by the Tribunal is permitted to be withdrawn by the claimant forthwith as per law.
