ORAL ORDER
1. Accused in Crime No.112/2026 registered by Dobbespet Police Station, Bengaluru District, for the offence punishable under Section 108 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.112/2026 was registered by Dobbespet Police Station, Bengaluru District, for the aforesaid offence against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 14.06.2026 received from Siddagangamma who is the mother of deceased Asha. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioner had filed Crl. Misc. No.1315/2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on
06.07.2026. Therefore, petitioner is before this Court. - 3 -

4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that petitioner and the victim girl were pursuing higher studies in the same university. As per the first information, petitioner was pestering the deceased to love him.
Though she had rejected his proposal, he was following her and torturing and this was brought to the notice of her parents by the deceased. Subsequently, deceased had consumed poison and attempted to commit suicide on 10.06.2026. Though she was admitted in the hospital, she breathed her last on 13.06.2026. It is under these circumstances, FIR was registered against the petitioner for the aforesaid offence. 5. Learned HCGP fairly submits that petitioner has co- operated with the police for the purpose of investigation and his statement has already been recorded in the present case. He also submits that petitioner's mobile phone has been seized and major portion of the investigation is completed. 6. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter and also considering the fact that petitioner is a student pursuing his higher studies, I am of the opinion that petitioner's prayer for

grant of anticipatory bail is required to be considered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order:
7. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.112/2026 registered by Dobbespet Police Station, Bengaluru District, for the offence punishable under Section 108 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:
1. The Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. 2. Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and he shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon.
