ORAL JUDGMENT
(PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL)
We have heard Sri. K. Shashi Kiran Shetty, learned Advocate General and Sri. I. Tharanath Poojary, learned Additional Advocate General along with Smt. Radha Ramaswamy, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the petitioners.
2. The affidavit of the Tahasildar is placed on record. Paragraphs No.5 and 6 of the affidavit indicate that the officer has realized the mistake. It is stated that the said mistake is unintentional and he would be diligent in future.
3. Learned Advocate General appearing for the State submits that due to the pressure of work, inadvertent mistake has happened from the officer. Hence, he seeks to expunge the remarks in Paragraphs No.11 and 12 of the final order dated
27.01.2026.
4. Considering the request made by the learned Advocate General and the affidavit of the officer, the direction portion at paragraph No.11 to the Principal Secretary, Revenue, Government of Karnataka to take cognizance of the aforesaid

observations and initiate departmental proceedings against the erring Tahsildar, and imposing cost is recalled. The order dated 27.01.2026 is modified to the aforesaid extent.
5. It is also submitted that the order of the learned Single Judge has been complied with.
6. The said submission is placed on record.
In view of the said order, IA would not survive for
consideration. Accordingly, the review petition is disposed of.
