The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents particularly respondent no 4 and 5 to release salary of the petitioner for the period w.e.f. 10.08.2025 to 19.11.2025, which has been illegally and arbitrary withheld by the respondents, along with interest @ 9% per annum and also award cost and compensation for the harassment caused to the petitioner. Further seeking Mandamus directing the respondents to count the period w.e.f. 10.08.2025 to 19.11.2025 as a continuous and uninterrupted service period and further directing the respondents to decide the representation dated 19.03.2026 (wrongly mentioned as 19.03.2025) (Annexure P-6) moved by the petitioner to respondent no. 5 requesting to release his salary for a period w.e.f. 10.08.2025 to 19.11.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that he has already filed representation dated 19.03.2026 and he would be satisfied if the same be decided in a time bound manner. 3. Leanred counsel for respondents-UOI contends that he has not objection to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. In view of same, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents to decide representation dated 19.03.2026 within a period of four weeks from today. 5. It is made clear that if the representation dated 19.03.2026 is not decided within a period of four weeks from today, costs of Rs.50,000/- shall be imposed upon the official(s), who are responsible for not deciding the representation dated 19.03.2026. The said cost shall be deducted from the salary of the concerned/responsible official(s). 6. Registry is directed to send a copy of this order to all the respondents. 7. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
