AGP Ms. Suchitra Sinha Chatterjee Mr. Chiranjit Pal ….for the State respondents 1) At the time of call, no one appears for the petitioner. 2) However, Mr. Das, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communicated dated 18th August, 2026 of Inspector- in-Charge, Narendrapur Police Station and same is taken on record. 3) It is disclosed in communication dated 18th August, 2026 that in connection with Narendrapur Police Station Case No. 932/2025 dated 10th August, 2025 statements under Section 180 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) were recorded by the Investigating Officer, notice was served under Section 94 of the BNSS to the complainant and relevant documents were collected as evidence of the case. Raids were conducted to nab FIR named accused persons and in this regard other steps are taken. 2 4) In view of steps taken by the concerned police authorities, at this stage no further order need be passed on this writ petition. 5) Writ petition stands disposed of. 6) However, concerned police authority is directed to expedite investigation and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an early date. 7) All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
