1. The petitioners have filed the instant petition seeking following reliefs:-
“10.1 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash/set-aside the impugned order/relief dated 20.07.2026 passed by the Respondent No. 4/Collector as being arbitrary, illegal and without jurisdiction and authority, in the interest of justice. 10.2 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the Respondent No. 4 to conclude the proceedings
of
Appeal
Bearing No.202605321300005/A-89/2025-26 within the stipulated time period under Section 21 (4) of the Adhiniyam Act, 1993.
4 10.3 Any other relief, which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper may also kindly be granted to the petitioner, in the interest of justice”
2. After arguing the matter for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that under the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993, the appeal is required to be decided within a period of 30 days. It is, therefore, prayed that the concerned authority may be directed to consider and decide the appeal within a period of 30 days in terms of Section 21(4) of the Adhiniyam,
1993.
3. Learned State counsel, has no objection to the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners.
4. In view of the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioners and there being no objection on behalf of the State, the concerned authority is directed to consider and decide the appeal, in terms of Section 21(4) of the Adhiniyam, 1993, preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of production of a copy of this
order.
5. With this observation and direction, the petition stands disposed of.
