The petitioner prays for a direction upon the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Hooghly to release arrear House Rent Allowance (HRA) with interest from the month of February 2015 to February 2025. 4. The District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Hooghly by Office Memorandum dated 18th April, 2019, upon consideration of the petitioner’s case, passed order that the petitioner would be entitled to draw full HRA. In compliance of the aforesaid, HRA has been released in favour of the petitioner from March 2025. The petitioner prays for releasing her arrear HRA. 5. As it appears that the petitioner has been found entitled to receive HRA, accordingly, the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Hooghly 2 ought to take steps for releasing the arrear HRA to the petitioner. 6. As the petitioner would be receiving HRA after a considerable delay, accordingly, the same shall be paid to the petitioner along with six percent interest per annum calculated on and from the due date till the date of actual payment. 7. Steps shall be taken for releasing the arrear HRA at the earliest but positively within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 10.
