According to the learned counsel apeparing for the petitioner, on 08.05.2026, the petitioner and his family members were attacked by five accused persons and so far, no progress in the investigation. He further submitted that the petitioner is a practising advocate of this court and despite his efforts, the police officials have not taken any steps. 3. Per contra, the learned Counsel for State of TN (Crl.Side) appearing for the third respondent submitted that the first accused has been arrested on 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.(MD).No.10360 of 2026 18.05.2026 and the other accused are absconding. Now the investigation is in the advanced stage and they are taking every effort to arrest the accused person. He further submits that the incident has taken place in a private exhibition hall and therefore, the CCTV footages are not available. 4. Considering the above said facts, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to monitor the investigation and after obtaining approval from the second respondent, the third respondent shall proceed to file charge sheet within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
