IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 106 CWP-17966-2026 Date of Decision : July 23, 2026 PARMINDER KAUR -PETITIONER V/S STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS -RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present: Mr. Ravi Rana, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, A.A.G., Punjab. *** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL)
1. The instant writ petition assails the order dated 05.03.2026 (Annexure P-1), whereby the licence granted in favour of the petitioner for running a fair price shop was suspended.
2. At the very outset, learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that the proceedings initiated pursuant to the suspension of the petitioner’s licence have since culminated in the passing of an order cancelling the said licence. It is, therefore, submitted that the petitioner may assail the order of cancellation by availing the appropriate statutory remedy available under law.
3. In view of the aforesaid statement, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the instant writ petition, with liberty to avail the appropriate statutory remedy to challenge the order cancelling the petitioner’s licence.
