7.8.2026 8 sb Ct. No. 30 CRR 2995 of 2026 Mamataj Uddin Ahmed @ Momtajuddin Ahamed & Anr. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Anr. Mr. Amit Ranjan Pati Ms. Swastika Chowdhury Ms. Itika Nag Mr. Avijit Chatterjee …for the Petitioners 1. The revisonal application has been preferred praying for a direction for expeditious hearing/proceeding in connection with G.R. case no. 585 of 2020 arising out of Midnapore All Women Police Station case no. 15 of 2020 dated 2.3.2020 corresponding to Charge Sheet no. 44 of 2020 dated 28.6.2020 alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under Sections 498A/323/506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, as well as expeditious trial of the aforesaid proceeding, presently pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 6th Court, Paschim Medinipur. 2. Considering the nature of relief prayed for by the petitioners, service in the present case is dispensed with. 3. It appears that the case has been registered on 2.3.2020. But even after six years, no witnesses have been examined and that the promotion of the husband/accused is not being processed due to pendency of the case. 4. Considering the said facts, this court directs that the Trial court shall make every endeavour to dispose of G.R case no. 585 of 2020 preferably within a period of three months 2 from the date of communication of the order, by fixing a date by day-to-day trial till disposal of the application without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. 5. The revisional application being CRR 2995 of 2026 is thus disposed of. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Shampa Dutt (Paul), J.)
