Also heard Mr. K. K. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioner Md. Rajek Ahmed has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Gohpur Police Station Case No.01/2026 under Sections 303(2) and 325 of the BNS, 2023, read with Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. Page No.# 2/2 3. Police got information that a cow was being slaughtered at Rahdhala Dani Gaon and found the remains of the slaughtered cow. It is alleged that the cow was slaughtered for selling the meat. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was a purchaser of the meat and therefore he was arrested by Police. The petitioner has already spent 29 days in judicial custody. 5. I have also considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the both sides. 6. This Court is of the opinion that under the given circumstances, the petitioner no longer deserves to be detained in custody for the allegation brought against him. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 7. Therefore, the petitioner Md. Rajek Ahmed, who was arrested in connection with Gohpur Police Station Case No.01/2026 shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (M), Gohpur. 8.
