In Re : Aloke Chakraborty
... Petitioner.
Mr. Bitasok Banerjee, Ms. Debangana Bhattacharya
... For the Petitioner.
Mr. Brajesh Jha, APP, Mr. P. Karan Singh
... For the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is better placed that the other accused person viz. Ujjal Roy who has been granted bail on 19.08.2026 in CRM(M) 986 of 2026. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary and I am of the opinion that the present petitioner viz., Aloke Chakraborty be released on bail by the learned Trial Court on the same terms and conditions as the other accused person viz. Ujjal Roy who has been granted bail in CRM(M) 986 of 2026. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.
2 Memo of Evidence submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1149 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
