The limited prayer of the petitioner, made in this Writ Petition, is to command the respondents to expedite the pending of proceedings before the Director General, Mines and Geology, Haryana with regard to levy of penalty upon the petitioner. 2. On 27.05.2026, following orders were passed by this Court:- “Mr. Nitin Kaushal, Addl. A.G., Haryana, on the basis of instructions obtained in the matter, states that the officer who had to take appropriate decision in the matter was on election duty and has since rejoined. Statement is made that within a reasonable period of time, appropriate fresh orders would be passed by the competent authority. List this matter on 21.07.2026, by when the affidavit would be filed on behalf of respondent No.3 disclosing the status of proceedings. “ 3. Learned State counsel has produced before the Court notice dated 03.07.2026, issued by the Mining Officer on behalf of the Director SURESH KUMAR 2026.07.23 15:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-16957-2026 (O&M) General, Mines and Geology, Haryana, calling upon the petitioner to submit a reply within 15 days. Copy of this notice has been served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner in the Court today itself. 4. In such circumstances, we dispose of this Writ Petition granting liberty to the petitioner to submit reply to notice dated 03.07.2026, within a period of two weeks’ from today, thereafter, a date of hearing would be fixed in the matter and the authority concerned shall pass appropriate final orders, in accordance with law. 5. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of accordingly.
