Life and liberty of petitioners has to be protected irrespective of the fact that their relationship does not have approval of society. 7. Without commenting on the validity of relationship of the petitioners, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to decide representation dated 19.07.2026 (Annexure P-3) within a period of one month. In case, it is found that there is a genuine threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, necessary steps as per law be taken at the earliest, so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners. 8. However, this order shall neither validate the live-in-status between the petitioners nor shall have any bearing on any civil or criminal action, initiated or to be initiated against them. 9. Disposed of accordingly. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
