Mr. Partho Banerjee, Ms. Ritu Das ….for the State. 1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. A case is made out by the petitioner that his maidservant, namely, Champa Nath being respondent no.7 lodged complaint against her husband Sasti Nath being respondent no.8 and in connection therewith petitioner is being harassed by the concerned police authorities. It is also submitted that respondent no.7 withdrew her complaint. 3. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 4th August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Galsi Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 4th August, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner. 4. It is disclosed in the communication dated 4th August, 2026 that petitioner lent a sum to respondent no.7 which was not refunded resulting in lodging complaint which gave rise to a criminal prosecution being Galsi Police Station Case No.608/26 dated 2nd August, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS, 2023. It is also disclosed in the said communication that investigation is going on in connection with criminal prosecution. 5. Hence, concerned police authorities are directed to investigate the case and take the same to its logical conclusion at an early date and file a report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 6. Since no complaint was lodged against the petitioner by respondent no.7 rather complaint dated 24th June, 2026 was directed against husband of respondent no.7 and her in-laws, no direction is called for with regard to such complaint lodged by respondent no.7 before the concerned police authorities. 7.
