Learned counsel for the petitioner is present.
2. In spite of service of notice, learned counsel for the respondent did not turn up.
3. Heard the arguments of learned counsel for petitioner.
4. This Civil Petition is filed by the petitioner/wife for transfer of M.C.No.29/2026 filed by the husband for divorce before the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bagalkote, to the Court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru.

5. The petitioner is residing in Bengaluru. The marriage between the parties was solemnized on 25.01.2007, and they are blessed with two children, born on 06.06.2008 and 29.08.2013, they are studying in PUC II Year and 7th Standard, respectively. The distance between Bagalkote and Bengaluru is 476 kilometres. Prior to her marriage, the petitioner was working in Hatti Gold Mines and she resigned and joined Ex-Servicemen’s Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Hospital at Bijapur, as her husband was working in Hungund and had his Divisional Office at Bijapur. The petitioner stated that it is inconvenient for her to travel all the way to Bagalkote. Considering the arguments of learned counsel for the petitioner and in the absence of respondent's arguments, this Court finds that it is just and reasonable to transfer M.C.No.29/2026, filed by husband for divorce from the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bagalkote, to the Court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru.

Learned counsel for the petitioner also stated that the petitioner is ready for mediation. Therefore, the Family

Court is directed to refer both the parties to the Bengaluru, Mediation Centre.
Accordingly, the Civil Petition is allowed.
