In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Raninagar Police Station Case No.299 of 2026 dated 30.05.2026 under Sections 21(C)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985;
Shyamal Mandal @ Shyamal Mondal & Ors. Versus The State of West Bengal
Mr. Tapodip Gupta Mr. Suman Bhanja Ms. Usashi Chattopadhyay. …for the petitioners.
Mr. Amitava Karmakar Ms. Priyanka Chandra. …for the State.
Learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are being attempted to be implicated in the present case on the basis of the statement of the co-accused.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. However, on a specific query from this Court, learned advocate is unable to refute that there are no previous antecedents, CDR or money trail presently available so far as the present petitioners are concerned with the accused who has been arrested.
In view of the aforesaid, I am inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners.

As the investigation of the case is in progress, the petitioners shall report to the investigating officer of the case within a period of 10 days from date and thereafter on all subsequent dates fixed by the investigating officer of the case for the purposes of investigation.
Thus, CRM(A)2621 of 2026 is allowed.
