Barman ….for the petitioner Ms. Suchitra Sinha Chatterjee Mr. Chiranjit Pal ……for the State respondents 1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2) Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that based on complaint lodged a criminal prosecution was initiated upon drawing up FIR being Chanditala Police Station Case No. 350 dated 18th April, 2026 under certain provision of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. It is contended that investigating agency is required to add other rigorous provisions while investigating the case. 3) Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 6th August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Chanditala Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said 2 communication is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner. 4) It is disclosed in communication dated 6th August, 2026 that on completing investigation charge-sheet dated 27th June, 2026 was filed by the investigating agency before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 5) In view of filing of charge-sheet before the jurisdictional Magistrate on completion of investigation, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands disposed of. 6) However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if so advised. 7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
