1. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits, upon instruction that, for the last one and half months, she is able to work peacefully in the film and television industry.
2. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has obtained written instruction dated 31st July, 2026 from the Additional Secretary & Ex-Officio Director of Films, Department of Information & Cultural Affairs that the film industry particularly with respect to shooting of feature film and television serial at Tollygunge and other locations is running at its own pace without any outside intervention or hindrance.
3. The Department has not received any complaint regarding any arbitrary imposition of terms by any third party during the last few months. The

Department is maintaining close interactions with the representatives of different organizations such as producers, artists, technician’s guilds etc. of the industry to facilitate its smooth functioning.
4. As the petitioner has expressed her views regarding peaceful performance of her work and the authority has also forwarded instruction in the same lines, accordingly, the Court is not inclined to proceed with the matter any further.
5. The contempt application stands disposed of with the observation that the Department shall keep regular and constant watch over the functioning of the film and television industry and ensure that the persons involved in the said industry can continue with their work freely without any interference and their right to life and livelihood is not curtailed in any manner whatsoever.
6. In view of disposal of the contempt application, the connected applications in connection with writ petition, being CAN 1 of 2025 and CAN 2 of 2025, also stand disposed of.
7. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
8. Certified server copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of all requisite formalities.
