Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (oral) The challenge in the present Letters Patent Appeal is to the judgment of learned Single Judge, passed in CWP No.2266 of 2023 titled Narain Singh vs. HPSEB Ltd. and another, decided on 07.11.2025, whereby the writ petition filed by the present respondent (Narain Singh), was allowed and the present appellant was directed to consider the case of the writ petitioner, in the light of the judgment 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 passed in CWP No.2269 of 2023, titled Deep Ram vs. HPSEBL & Another, decided on 17.09.2025, within a period of six weeks. 2. In sum and substance, the respondent/writ petitioner was seeking direction to allow 50% wages to him in the pay scale of Rs.2720-4775 w.e.f. 15.09.2003 to 13.09.2009 since he has been allowed to join the duties on 14.09.2009 onwards. Resultantly, issuance of modified Office Order was sought along-with interest @ 12% per annum on the differential arrears till payment thereof. 3. The dispute, as such, has arisen out of a common award passed on 12.08.2008 by the Industrial Tribunal -cum- Labour Court, Shimla, which was also the subject matter of LPA Nos.43 and 44 of 2013, on an earlier occasion the matter has been remanded. 4. Vide a detailed order dated 09.04.2026 passed in LPA No.35 of 2026, we have upheld the order passed by learned Single Judge, passed in Deep Ram’s case (supra), wherein also the same prayer as such had been made for grant of 50% of the wages in the said pay scale for the same period. 5. Accordingly, we dismiss the present appeal for the reasons given in Deep Ram’s case (supra), as the issue is squarely covered by the same. The learned Single Judge has also directed consideration by the authorities on the basis of the same. 3 6.
