C.R.M. (A) 2557 of 2026
In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Berhampore Police Station Case No.877 of 2026 dated 06.06.2026 under Sections 115(2)/117(2)/124(2)/126(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023;
Liliya Mondal alias Lilia Mondal Versus The State of West Bengal
Mr. Soupal Chatterjee Ms. Mekhala Kar. …for the petitioner.
Mr. Brajesh Jha Mr. Ansuman Bera. …for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case.
Learned advocate for the State has referred to the medical report.
I have taken into account that there are acid burn injuries. Prima facie, from the materials in the case diary, it also reflects that the petitioner aided the offence and was the cause of the offence.
Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.
